I've attached information regarding the SAT exam. Juniors should plan to take the SAT at least one time this year, and then again one time at the start of their senior year. Please review the information and contact the guidance department regarding any registration questions.
All the best,
This email and newsletter provide information about your child's Concepts English 11 class for the 2019-2020 school year. Chelsea Shatt and I (Alison Newman) are the team-teachers of the class.
This is a helpful resource to utilize if your student forgets an assignment at school. The student can access the dvsd.org homepage, then my teacher web-page, and print any assignments.
The Junior year can be quite busy for your child. Their grades are very important, as they will be the first grades colleges and trade schools look for on their transcripts. We have instructed our students to be mindful about maintaining consistent good grades throughout the year. Also, the eleventh grade year is when most students take their S.A.T exams. Most juniors should wait until the March sessions to ensure their exposure to the information on the exam.
We've created an overview newsletter to inform you of what we are currently working on in class and what to expect in the upcoming weeks. The newsletter is attached to this email. If you have individual questions regarding your child, please do not hesitate to contact us. We will get back to you as soon as we can.
Thank you and have a wonderful weekend!
