Mu Alpha Theta is the National High School Mathematics Honor Society with over 88,000 student members in more than 1,800 schools throughout the country. The organization is dedicated to inspiring keen interest in mathematics, developing strong scholarship in the subject, and promoting the enjoyment of mathematics in high school students. Members of Mu Alpha Theta are encouraged to participate in peer tutoring programs and to compete in mathematics competitions at the local, state, and national levels.
