MEETINGS AND EXECUTIVE SESSIONS
The Delaware Valley Board of Education complies with Pennsylvania law in conducting its meetings. This law defines a "meeting" as an official convening of the Board of Education for the purpose of conducting public business. All regular meetings are open to the public. However, the law also permits the taking of an executive session, a portion of a meeting not opened to the public. An executive session can be held to discuss the following matters: those which will imperil the public safety; those which may disclose the identity of a law enforcement agent or informer; any information relating to current or future investigation or prosecution of a criminal offense which would imperil effective law enforcement; pending or current litigation; collective bargaining negotiations; the medical, financial, credit, or employment history of a particular person or corporation, or matters leading to the appointment, employment, promotion, demotion, discipline, suspension, dismissal or removal of a particular person or corporation; the preparation, grading or administration of exams; the proposed acquisitions, sale, or lease of real property, or the proposed acquisition of securities or sale or exchange of securities held, when publicity would affect the value thereof. Board Meeting Agendas can be found on BoardDocs.
