The Delaware Valley School District (School District) recognizes that diverse disabilities exist for users of its website and web-based applications. For a strong experience for all of its users, the School District’s web development includes accessibility and usability that is continually integrated into the website development process.

The School District’s approach for its website development process is to comply with Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act, Sections 504 and 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended, and various other laws and administrative agency regulations. The School District’s approach for designing accessible digital experiences is guided by the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0 Level AA). 

Through this continuing process it is possible that some users may encounter problems accessing some pages. For questions about the School District’s efforts to make its web-based information accessible to all users, or to seek assistance with an accessibility problem, please e-mail askDV@dvsd.org  and provide the following information: your contact information, the date the problem occurred, and the web address or URL along with a detailed description of the problems you have encountered. Upon request, an alternative method such as personal interviews at the School District, use of a teletypewriter, a recording of the complaint, or telephone conversation may be made available for persons with disabilities.

The website and web-based applications are compatible with screen readers and other assistive technologies. Some of our content is available in Portable Document Format (PDF). To view it, you may download the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader at https://get.adobe.com/reader/ .

Each page of the website will include a link to this Website Accessibility Page and the School District’s Contact Page, where users can use the above link to send the School District suggestions for improving its website and web-based applications. This information will be compiled and considered during the review process.

The School District provides informational links to third-party websites and webpages that the School District does not control. Therefore, the School District cannot control the accessibility of those websites.
