    Library Hours

The library is open from 7:45 -2:38 every day. Most days you may also drop off materials on the way to the bus at dismissal time. Students are to use the main entrance from the common area.

The library is open after school on Tuesdays until 4:25. To stay you must have a permission slip on file in the library. Ask the librarian for a slip. You must have a ride home at 4:25, or ride the late bus.

    General Rules of Conduct

Everyone is treated with kindness and respect.

No one will interfere with the learning of another person.

Everyone works quietly. If you exhibit inappropriate behavior you will be asked to leave and may be restricted from using the library for several days.

    Important Information

You may come to the library on your way in from the bus or during the time before homeroom begins; however, you must be to homeroom on time. Once homeroom begins you must have a pass to come to the library.

Students must sign in and out when they visit the library on an individual basis. You do not have to sign in when you come with a class.

You may come to the library during lunch, but you need to get a pass from the library. If you have a lunch pass from a teacher you still need one from the library. On some days, lunch passes will not be available.

Items are checked out for two weeks at a time. Usually, students may check out three items (books, s, cassettes, cassette/book kits, cds) at a time. You may check out more then 3 items if you need them for a special project or some other reason. Just check with the librarian.

You will be charged a fine of $0.10 per day per item for overdue materials (no fine charges for weekends, holidays, etc.). You will not be charged a fine if you are absent, but you must tell a librarian so we can remove those fines. Please renew materials if you need them longer. If you don’t think you have time to come to the library to renew or check out materials, stop by in the morning, between classes, on the way to lunch, etc. We will write you a pass to class if needed.

Students are responsible for borrowed items. Always return materials on time or renew them. Damage charges, lost book charges, or fine must be paid before other materials can be checked out and before you may use the library again. You may not receive your report card if you have outstanding library obligations.

You may use Destiny any time. Ask permission before using other programs or the Internet. Internet use is for school projects. You must know your ID and password to log on.

Come on into the library! Check out a book, magazine, cd, or cassette tape. Read or browse through materials. Research for assignments and fun.  See you in the library!
