Doctor Julie L. Jones

Julie Lynn Jones was a member of the Delaware Valley High School Class of 1975.  Active in her class, she was Class President, Class Salutatorian, Co-Captain of the Field Hockey Team, member of the prestigious National Honor Society, and member of the Student Council.  She was voted Most Valuable Defensive Player of the Field Hockey Team in 1975, selected as the D.A.R. Good Citizen in 1975, and delivered a commencement address at her graduation.

Following her high school graduation, Julie attended Cornell University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology in 1979.  She continued her studies at the Pennsylvania State Medical College from 1979-1983.  Her three-year residency requirement was completed at Lancaster General Hospital in 1986.

Julie joined Manor Family Health in Lancaster, PA.  It was the beginning of a thirty- two year career that Julie describes as “…an incredible opportunity to know families of multiple generations over time.”  The care of her patients was her passion, a relationship she describes as “…a true blessing and sacred relationship.”

Julie’s professional career went beyond Manor Family Health.  She served as the medical director of two nursing homes, served on the Quality Assurance Committee at Lancaster General Hospital, and spoke annually at the “Women in Science Conference” at Millersville University.

Julie continues to be an involved member of her community.  She is active in the Trinity Lutheran Church in Lancaster.  She also serves on the board of the Lancaster County Conservancy.  She and her husband also spend much time with their children, Alexander and Kathryn.
