Eve Eberz Houseknecht was a member of the Delaware Valley High School Class of 1979 where she excelled in field hockey. She was a member of the 1978 field hockey team that won the State Championship. A consummate team player, she continued her love of the game playing four years at Lafayette College earning a varsity letter. After college, she played for ten years on the Wyoming Valley Field Hockey Club team, participating in several international tournaments. She then became a field hockey official at J.V. and Varsity games in the Lehigh Valley. She is currently one of Delaware Valley's most enthusiastic field hockey fans and attends most games. She became involved in the Eastern Pike Soccer program in 2000 and later served as president of the organization, helping to develop its travel program. Eve currently teaches math in the Delaware Valley School District.
