Erin Hoey Burns
Erin Hoey Burns was a member of the Delaware Valley High School Class of 1994 where she excelled in softball and basketball. As a basketball player, she was a four year varsity letter winner and captain of the 1993-94 team. She was named to the DV Holiday Basketball all tournament all-star team in 1992-93 and was recipient of the Outstanding Team Player award. A four year varsity letter winner in softball, she received batting titles in 1991 and 1993, was a member of the NAC all conference team 1991-1994, was named MVP in 1994 and was the first Delaware Valley softball player to earn a scholarship to an NCAA Division One School. She captained the 1994 team batting .513. Erin was also a member of the Diamond Dolls Amateur Softball Association team during her high school years. At Iona College, Erin was a starting player for four years from 1995-1998. She received the NFPCA All-American Scholar-Athlete Award for the 1997-98 academic year.
