Kim Coon
Kim Coon was a member of the Class of 1972 of Delaware Valley High School. After graduation he attended Lock Haven University graduating in 1976. He also attended the PA School of Banking at Bucknell University and the School of PA Rural Leadership at Penn State. From 1988 to 1995 he served as a County Commissioner in Bedford County, Pennsylvania and then moved on to state government where he was Director of Policy at the Department of Community Affairs (1995-96) where he prepared the state's Comprehensive Housing Development plan. Mr. Coon was then named Executive Director of the Governor's Center of Local Government Service within the Department of Community and Economic Development (1996-2000) where her served as the point person for Governor Ridge's land use initiatives and turned the agency into a one stop shop for local government officials. He then served as Deputy Director if that Department from 2000 to 2001 where her was the 2000 Census Liaison and managed numerous community development programs. From 2001 to 2004 he served as President of the Educational Resources Group of the PA Sate System of Higher Education where he managed a budget of $40 million and 56 employees and developed and implemented its strategic business plan. Mr. Coon now is Senior Vice President of Winner Global Defense, LLC.
