JoAnne Brink Orehosky

JoAnne Brink Orehosky was a member of the Delaware Valley High School, Class of 1980. A four year field hockey player, she played on the 1978 undefeated state championship team. In her senior year, she was Captain and MVP of both the #1 field hockey and volleyball teams.

After graduation she attended Davis and Elkins College and was a four year varsity player. She started on the AIAW Regional Championship team in 1980-81 which played to a third place finish in the AIAW National Tournament in 1981. JoAnne was a NCAA Division I First-Team All-American in 1983 and a member of the United States Field Hockey Squad in 1984. She was an assistant field hockey coach for Davis and Elkin in 1984 and for Delaware Valley High School in 1986, while being a graduate assistant for the field hockey team in 1988.

She was the New York State Women's Bodyboard Champion and finished sixth-place in the East Coast Bodyboard Championships in 1990. Mrs. Orehosky was a second place finisher in the Killington, VT Triathalon in 1993. In 1996 she was inducted in the Davis and Elkins College Athletic Hall of Fame. Currently, she teaches elementary physical education and coach's Jr. Varsity lacrosse and varsity field hockey in West Islip Public Schools.
