Dr. Reed was a member of the Class of 1975 of Delaware Valley High School. She graduated Cum Laude from the university of Pennsylvania in 1979 and received her medical degree from the Medical College in Pennsylvania in 1983. An internship in family practice followed at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center and a residency in psychiatry at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, both in Chicago.
Now, in private practice in Lake Forest, IL Dr. Reed has been a Medical Director of and Older Adult Outpatient Program at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and consulting psychiatrist with Northwestern Hospital Alzheimer Disease Center. A frequent author and public speaker in her field, Dr. Reed is affiliate in the Fellows program of the Bueler Center on the Aging of Northwest University Medical Center and a member of the Task Force on Psychiatric Guidelines of the Illinois Department of Mental Health.
