Dierdre Elizabeth Boysen was a member of the Milford High School Class of 1956. Upon graduation she attended the prestigious Oberlin Music Conservatory in Oberlin, Ohio, graduating in 1960. During her junior year she attended the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria.
She was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship and attended the School of Music in Munich, West Germany in 1961. Mrs. Boysen earned a Master's of Music from the State University of Iowa in 1963.
A recipient of a Rockefeller Foundation Grant, she stayed on in Europe and became a member of the Opera Company of Basel, Switzerland, and was heard at the State Theater in Oldenburg and in recitals and concerts throughout Europe. She currently teaches voice near her home in Altrip/Rhein, Germany.
