Mary Jane Seidenstricker

Mary Jane Seidenstricker is a graduate of Stroudsburg High School and East Stroudsburg University, where she earned a degree in Physical Education. She then embarked on a distinguished career at Delaware Valley, initially as a teacher in the physical education department. Mary Jane went on to earn a degree in Special Education, spending most of her tenure as a special education teacher at Delaware Valley Middle School.
When Mary Jane began her career, female athletics were practically non-existent at Delaware Valley. While her coaching expertise was centered around field hockey and gymnastics, Mary Jane was a driving force for promoting, encouraging, and supporting all female athletes. A trailblazer in every sense of the word, Mary Jane put female athletics on the map at Delaware Valley thanks to her fierce advocacy and an unwavering commitment to her students.
Never one to seek out the spotlight, Mary Jane was happiest to work behind the scenes to ensure others received the recognition she believed they had earned. She was most passionate about supporting student athletes as well as fellow coaches, sharing her unique gifts in a way that lifted everyone around her. Always among the first to act and the last to look for anything in return, Mary Jane’s legacy is represented by every female student athlete who puts on a Delaware Valley uniform.
