Start with Hello
🌟 Start with Hello – “Hey Day” is Coming! 🌟 Wednesday, September 17 is a special day at our school As part of the Start with Hello week, this day is all about helping students feel seen, welcomed, and connected. To celebrate, students are invited to wear green, the color that represents empathy, kindness, and the courage to reach out to others. Whether it's a shirt, socks, or even a green accessory, wearing green is a fun and meaningful way to show that we care about making others feel like they belong. Every student will also receive a “Hello, my name is... ” name tag to wear proudly. Throughout the day, we’ll encourage them to wave, smile, or say hello to classmates they may not know very well. A simple hello can open the door to new friendships and remind someone that they’re not alone. We invite families to continue the conversation at home about the power of speaking up. Whether it’s introducing yourself to someone new or opening up to a trusted adult when something’s on your mind. It’s always okay to talk to someone you trust. Whether it’s a friend, teacher, counselor, or family member, talking is a great way to feel heard and supported. Let’s make a bright spot in the week, full of green, smiles, and new hellos. 💚 Because sometimes, the smallest gestures make the biggest difference.
