DV-ACE serves the tri-state community of the Delaware Valley School District as it strives to “Educate for Life’s Journey.” Courses are offered three times a year (summer, fall, spring) to all ages. Offerings are given in the areas of basic education, academics, personal enrichment, recreation, and swimming.
A wide range of course offerings for our adult community for this spring include: AARP Driver Safety, Adult Special Needs Fitness Class, Gentle Yoga, Simple Machine Sewing, Volleyball, Scuba Diving, Water Aerobics, Rusty Hinges, Water Zen, Triathlon Swim, & Early Morning Swims. We offer the following for the student population: American Red Cross Swimming Classes, Driver’s Training, Lifeguarding, Cross Country & Track, Ballet for Beginners, Creative Dance for Young Students, Building Club. We also have Community and Community Lap Swimming. Complete course listings are described in brochures that are distributed three times per year – in August, January, and May through local newspapers and through all schools in the Delaware Valley School District. While the DV-ACE office is housed at the Delaware Valley Middle School, in Westfall Township, the various course offerings are held at each educational facility throughout the Delaware Valley District.
If anyone is interested in offering a course through DV-ACE, please contact Beth Shomaker at 570-409-2014. We are always looking for course offerings to expand our program.
