National History Day makes history come alive for America's youth by engaging them in the discovery of the historic, cultural and social experiences of the past. Through hands-on experiences and presentations, today's youth are better able to understand the present and shape the future. Delaware Valley students have presented at NHD for the past fifteen years and have gone on to state and national competition. This is a wonderful program for students who are interested in all aspects of Social Studies and self-motivated in the presentation of the NHD topic. Students are given a topic each year to present in one of four categories; performance, media, research paper, or board display.
