Dr. Charlene Brennan, Acting Superintendent

Dr. Brennan is the retired Executive Director of the Colonial Intermediate Unit 20, where she worked for 22 years and served as Executive Director for 14 years.  In a 39-year career, she worked with 39 school districts in 3 intermediate units and with 6 career centers.  She stayed active in state-level education initiatives as well as local ones.  Since retiring she also served previously as an acting superintendent.  Dr. Brennan’s experiences allow her to bring a wide and diverse background to Delaware Valley.  She will be working with the school board on governance and planning. She will also be working with a six-member cabinet and two district-level Special Education supervisors on school district administration. They are as follows:

Mr. William Hessling, Business Administrator

Bill Hessling has served as the chief financial officer for more than 30 years.  He oversees the business office operations and staff including the key areas of budget, payroll, finance and employee benefits. He also serves as the open records officer and board secretary.  During his tenure, we have completed more than $100 million in capital projects including three new schools – DDMS, DDPS and DVES.

Dr. Brian Blaum, Director of Secondary Education

Brian Blaum oversees all aspects of secondary education which includes both middle schools, the high school and the Career and Technical Education (CTE) center. Athletics, DV-ACE, and the alternative program (AEDY) also fall under his purview.  Brian began his career at DV as a teacher in 2004 and moved into administration in 2011.

Mrs. Victoria McNeely, Director of Elementary Education and Technology

Vicki McNeely oversees all aspects of elementary education which includes all four elementary schools – DDPS, DDES, DVES and SES. She is also responsible for oversight of the technology department which includes all hardware, software, network operations and IT staff.  Vicki began her career at DV as a teacher in 1998 and moved into administration in 2008.

Mr. Marvin Eversdyke, Director of Support Services

Marvin Eversdyke wears many hats.  He oversees all aspects of facilities management including the maintenance, custodial and grounds staff.  He is also our point person on all capital projects.  He supervises our district fleet of vehicles and buses and is the liaison to our bus contractor, Rohrer Bus.  His office also handles new student registration.  Marvin has been in this role since 2005.

Mr. Chris Lordi, Director of Human Resources

Chris Lordi oversees all personnel issues including attendance, evaluation, certification and background clearances. He also oversees all aspects of safety and security.  This includes our school police force, safety plans and drills, and our workplace safety team.  In addition, he oversees the DV Foundation.  Chris joined our administrative team in 2005 and holds a Master in Business Administration degree from the University of Scranton and a Master of Professional Studies degree, Human Resources and Employment Relations, from the Pennsylvania State University.

Dr. Jayson Pope, Supervisor of Academic Services

Jayson Pope oversees a myriad of programs for us including the DV Cyber academy, the English as a New Language (ENL) program, comprehensive planning and federal ESSER funding.  In addition, he coordinates outside cyber and homeschooling programs and serves as the district's homeless liaison.  Jayson began his career at DV as a teacher in 2003 and moved into administration in 2014.

Mrs. Cheryl Nielsen, Supervisor of Elementary Special Education

Cheryl Nielsen oversees the coordination and development of elementary special education and gifted programs for the district as well as Extended School Year programs.  She writes reports related to Special Education and Gifted as well as coordinates the transition for students coming from early intervention.  Cheryl joined our team in 2015 as a special education teacher and moved into administration in 2019.  She is a graduate of Delaware Valley.

Dr. Diana Bixby, Supervisor of Secondary Special Education

Diana Bixby oversees special education and gifted programs, in addition to overseeing 504 compliance, at DDMS, DVMS, and DVHS.  She also leads mental health initiatives for the district.  Diana began her special education teaching career in 1998 and joined Delaware Valley as an administrator in 2005.
